PROJECT

Three living areas in one room

A clear trend in interior design has emerged in recent years: the merging of the kitchen, dining room and living room into one open, multifunctional area. This approach not only embodies modern living, but also creates more space for what really counts - time with family and friends.

In this project, my customers wanted to combine exactly these areas of life in their home. Their goal was to create a spacious space that offers enough space for family and friends without sacrificing design and functionality. They also wanted to make optimal use of the available space and avoid unnecessary traffic areas such as hallways with the open room concept.

MORE SPACE FOR LIVING AND COMMUNITY

The kitchen has always been the heart of the home, the place where family and friends come together. In this project, we opened up this very heart and designed a kitchen that flows seamlessly into the dining and living area. The spacious cooking area not only offers space for preparing meals, but also for cooking evenings together where everyone can be part of the action. The kitchen island with an integrated counter is the central point - it is not only used for working, but also invites you to linger and chat together.

The dining area, which is directly adjacent to the kitchen block, offers enough space for large family meals or social gatherings with friends. We chose a black charred wooden table that radiates warmth and at the same time makes a contemporary statement. The perfect place to share beautiful and precious moments.

In order to make the room not only functional but also aesthetically appealing, we relied on clear lines and a harmonious, neutral color concept that seamlessly connects the areas. The seamless transition from cooking to eating and relaxing in the living area gives the room an airy yet cozy atmosphere. The natural stone wall in the back of the spacious sofa sets a special design accent and at the same time offers a stable finish to the room.

FLOWING TRANSITION BETWEEN THE LIVING AREAS

The lack of narrow hallways and unnecessary partitions has made the best use of the available space. Instead, every square meter was used to fill the open space with life - be it through the large dining table, the comfortable sofa area or the light-flooded kitchen area.

The biggest challenge was not only to make the space visually spacious, but also to ensure that the individual areas served their individual purposes. We have used clever storage solutions in the kitchen so that everything we need is within easy reach without overloading the space. The living area, on the other hand, has been furnished with comfortable seating and stylish accessories to create a perfect balance between comfort and elegance.

CONCLUSION: OPEN LIVING AS AN EXPRESSION OF MODERNITY AND SOCIALITY

This project shows how an open living concept offers not only functional but also emotional added value. The open space in which kitchen, dining and living flow together is more than an architectural solution - it is an expression of a modern attitude to life.
