Made in Germany - My TOP 4

The interior design trade fair H.O.M.E.D.E.P.O.T in Vienna is small but perfectly formed. Some of the most exclusive furniture brands from the indoor and outdoor sectors present their new products there. It's no secret that Italian brands like Natuzzi and Paola Lenti know how design works. But the trade fair showed me once again: German furniture manufacturers also set standards in innovation, design, and quality. I was particularly impressed by four brands that impress not only with their high-quality materials and craftsmanship, but also with their diverse design options – suitable for almost every interior design style.

Let me introduce you to my top 4 German brands and their most exciting new products:

JANUA: TIMELESS CHARACTER MADE OF WOOD & STONE

For 20 years, Janua has stood for high-quality solid wood furniture characterized by clean lines and natural materials. Originally a carpentry workshop, the company has developed into an internationally established furniture brand. Janua doesn't follow short-term trends – rather, it's the timeless aesthetics and quality craftsmanship that define the character of its furniture. Values such as durability, authenticity, and sustainable production are at the heart of the company's philosophy.

A special highlight is the "BC17 T-Rox" dining and coffee table series, whose frame is made of natural stone. Combined with Janua's signature solid wood tops, this creates a unique, natural design that impressively combines robustness and elegance.

FREIFRAU: SEATING FURNITURE WITH SENSUALITY & QUALITY

The Freifrau Manufaktur stands for stylish, elegant, and comfortable seating furniture with high standards of quality and sustainability. Each piece of furniture is created with attention to detail and a special dedication to materials and craftsmanship. Freifrau's collections deliberately bear feminine names to lend them personality. The company combines sensual forms with a clear design language, creating furniture that delights not only visually but also tactilely.

The modular "Mia" sofa is a particularly successful new product from Freifrau, impressing with its flexible design options. The individual modules can be individually combined, allowing for a high degree of adaptability to various room concepts. The portfolio is perfectly complemented by the new "Theia" bar stool, which, with its sleek silhouette and high seating comfort, offers a stylish addition to any bar or open-plan kitchen.

KETTNAKER: MODULARITY MEETS INNOVATION

Kettnaker impresses with modular furniture systems that offer maximum design freedom. Living room and dining room furniture can be individually configured, as can wardrobes – whether with doors, flaps, or sliding doors. With a variety of finishes and exclusive interior fittings, as well as lighting, Kettnaker creates countless possibilities for customizing furniture according to the user's ideas. In addition to cabinet furniture, this impressive company's portfolio also includes beautiful bed and table series.

An absolute highlight is the brand-new "Some Media" furniture, an innovative screen TV sideboard developed in cooperation with Leica. It integrates a high-resolution, retractable screen that blends seamlessly into the furniture. Both the screen and projector disappear invisibly into the furniture when not in use. A perfect and contemporary solution for those who don't actually want to watch their TV in the living room. And the best part: The system also works in front of a window!

This solution combines technological sophistication with stylish restraint and offers a perfect alternative to conventional TV furniture.

KFF: DESIGN & COMFORT IN PERFECTION

KFF stands for contemporary seating with award-winning design. The 2025 collection is characterized by a fusion of exceptional comfort and sophisticated aesthetics.

A highlight is the "Gaia Divano" seating island, complementing the seating series designed by Monica Armani. This cozy loveseat with footstool combines elegance and comfort at the highest level. The curved shape invites you to relax, while the high-quality upholstery fabrics and sophisticated upholstery guarantee a unique seating experience.

My conclusion after my visit to H.O.M.E.D.E.P.O.T Vienna: The presence of these four German manufacturers impressively underscores the importance of design, innovation, and quality "Made in Germany." Their current collections not only reflect modern living trends but also set their own standards in the world of interior design.
